So, I’ve had more than a few requests for bath bombs…
TONIGHT! I obliged. They look like they probably won’t stay together. I followed a new recipe out of a highly rated book, to a T. The book is called “Bathtub treats: a Guide to making Bath Bombs, Bath Truffles And Bath Melts at Home Using…” recipe “Anxiety Relief Bath Bombs.” Then I spritzed for moisture. I used witch hazel and alcohol as instructed. I tested the consistency, as instructed. I even checked the room humidity; 40%, and still.
I AM using crappy plastic molds. I ordered more molds- metal, a press and a mooncake press- and they ate otw. Do the costs EVER END? Anyway. If these fail after their 24 hr drying time, I am NOT GIVING UP DAMMIT.
update;
THEY CRACKED.
They smell amazing, they look beautiful, but they CRACKED. I asked on saponification Nation about it and several people said to skip the epson salts, as it draws Moisture. Onto try #3.
