There is a secret at Birds of Valhalla… and it’s pretty weird.
… but, why? BOV is known for food based, superior soap, right? Whats up with the crystals? It seems unrelated.
It all started when Debra, the owner, started putting small crystals on top of the soap back in 2020.
Eventually the excess crystal tumbles turned into customers requesting access to small stones in the shop, since they were in the shop anyway.
It all started with Debra’s personal favorite, labradorite. These originally only were found on the Scorpio inspired soaps, but, were eventually available for individual purchase.
The small labradorites sold so well, BOV started carrying larger pieces of them, freeforms and spheres.
Though BOV still offers the labradorites in more rare colors nowadays on the website, the offerings have become more varied and eclectic.
The growing customer base and community that supports BOV wanted more “witchy,” themed crystals, like dragons, ravens, fairies and skulls.
This led to a new budget line, crystals! BOVmade a back up tiktok account for the crystals and sales. The Tuesday night tiktok crystal lives were born.
BOV started to acquire more unusual specimens and carvings. The crystal lives are still happening and still improving over time. The newest offerings include custom made jewelry.
BOV is now accepting requests for custom jewelry pieces, just message the website.
BOV continues to listen to their customers and community in what they carry and offer in the store. There’s even some customers interested in non traditional engagement rings. The goal will be custom pieces and a line of BOV designed jewelry someday.
